Thomas Poliziani Obituary
Age 34, suddenly on Sunday April 13, 2008. Beloved son of Louis Sr. and Joann (DeMarco) Poliziani; Loving brother of Lou Jr., Scott and Gino Poliziani; Fiance of Pam DiNello; Dear Grandson of Josephine DeMarco. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Special friend of Jarrett. Family and friends received 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at ANTHONY G. STAAB FUNERAL HOME, INC. 900 Chartiers Ave. W. E. Pgh. Mass of Christian Burial of St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Green Tree on Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in Tom's name to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd, Pgh. Pa. 15237.

I had the pleasure of working with Tom the past 6 years. He was not only one of the best co-workers I ever had in my 35 years of corporate life, but one of the finest human beings I ever met. I feel truly lucky to have known Tom. He was the best.

Tom-you were one of the most easy-going and funniest people around. You could always make us laugh-especially at a party or on the baseball field. I keep remembering Tom as an endearing little boy with a drive to succeed (not to mention when he hypothetically drove the car for pizza). I can't imagine the depth of your pain in this great loss. Words cannot convey how sorry Michelle and I are for the loss of your beloved Tom. I loved him like a brother and miss him dearly. Tom and I met freshman year in college and we were even roommates for a while. Tom was fiercely loyal to all things Pittsburgh as I soon discovered. After graduation, the good times did not end as we tried to fit in a golf trip each year (Myrtle Beach, Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, more Vegas, the Burgh). Not too long ago I visited Tom in Pittsburgh and was impressed with the home he had made for himself and the career he had forged. He was living the American dream. Tom was a stand-up guy, generous and good humored. I am very lucky to have called him my friend and shall never forget him.

Although it's been about 30 years since we rode bigwheels down my grandma's driveway, Tommy was part of my very happy childhood. Tom was a good friend whose memory I'll treasure and remember. I worked with Tom at RPS/FedEx and we became fast friends outside of work as well, often golfing together, catching a few beers, hanging out, going to ballgames, playing softball, fantasy baseball, and just simply talking sports and shooting the breeze. Tom had a very wry sense of humor that will be sorely missed. We had a lot of good times over the past 11 years. May God bless you Pam and the Poliziani family.
