In memory of
Carol Ewoldt
October 22, 2007
The past week has been tough for those of us who live in Eldridge and saw Tom every day. He is missed already and we will continue to do so. When my brother died, he left us with the following direction: Remember me and smile; remember me and laugh. We will do the same with Tom.

My heart aches for all of you. Tom was a great inspiration to all who knew him.The sparkle in his eyes is now reflected by the stars that twinkle in the sky. His smile shines down from the heavens with great beauty. He will be greatly missed but remembered always.

I graduated high school with Tom and the Tom Purvis I remember was a laid back guy who never had anything bad to say about anyone and always had a smile on his face. That's the Tom I will always remember. My heart goes out to his family. I met Tom's parents once and I was treated very kindly by both.

I went to school with Tom until I moved at the end of my sophmore year. He was a great person. He always knew how to make people laugh.

Tom was such a fantastic guy. The entire Miller family is heartbroken. A very sad thing to happen to such a very nice family. I can't find the right words to express how sorry I am.

I am so upset to hear this news. Tom was a friend of my little Brother. He was always smiling and he absolutly made me laugh and giggle every time I saw him. Even though I haven't seen him in a few years, I will always remember him and the fun times we had!!!!
Tommie Purv: A smile, a wink, and a tip of the drink. May you rest in peace my friend!!

I grew up with Tom when he first moved to Kaneland Estates. We had our differences when we were kids, but I realized that he was a pretty good guy after high school. He was a very nice person and my prayers go out to his family during this tragic time.

Tommie was such a great guy. He was always smiling, always happy, and always quick with a "comeback".
His smile would light up a room whenever he entered. He was great fun to be with. I'll miss his laughter.

My Heart goes out to all of you....I pray that God will wrap his arms around all of you and give you strength in your time of need.
I'll always remember "Tommie" as a great kid especially on the baseball field where we first met him and became friends with your great family.
I will especially remember his cute little smile....it was precious!
God Bless you all,
Trudy
