I knew Tom was sick when I visited a few years back and I told my children who adored him about his illness. I remembered when my husband died, he and his friends drove all night to get to his funeral. He was a support for my family and me and he knew the right things to say. I know that he and Victor are sitting together and talking about the Scriptures that they shared in life. Thank you Susan for making it a way for me to attend Tom's funeral and being so good to my family. I think of your family often.

I just became aware of Tom's passing this evening. He was a kind man who sincerely believed in artists. It was my great pleasure to work with him when I worked in human resources at Walker Art Center and Tom was at TIAA-CREF. My condolences to the entire family.

Dear Susan,
You've been in my thoughts ever since I learned of Tom's illness and then his death.
David and I enjoyed knowing you while you lived here-your family was so lovely. I still remember while on one of my morning walks with the dog on the lakefront, Tom slowed down to walk with me and then had to speed up and jog to keep up with me.
Except through Addison and Jeff, we haven't really been in touch since you left Chicago. However, yours is a friendship you can pick up where ever it left off.
You have a wonderful family. Here's wishing you peace always.
Love, Laura Bradford

Dear Susan,
How tremendously sad to hear of Tom's passing. Though our interaction was intermittent, I always valued Tom's friendship over many years and changes in our lives. My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am very sorry to miss Tom's funeral, we are in St. Louis for the baptism of one of our grandchildren.
With great regard,

To Susan and Tom's family. I have not seen or talked to Tom since 1987, almost 30 years. But even that length of time does not diminish the memory of his humanitarian love of life and his family. My deepest condolences.

What a wonderful, interesting man. I worked with Tom many years ago when he was with Zions Bank. He was always fascinating to talk with. He gave me a Utah artist book that I treasure. My condolences to his family.

Tom served on the School of Business National Advisory Board at Southern Utah University and we will miss him. He and I both majored in Humanities at BYU and graduated in the same year. We both had a great love for humanities and business. We in the School of Business send our deepest condolences. We are grateful for the time we were able to spend with Tom and for his fine service and example for our business students.

We remember him as a missionary-good sense of humor, likable applied, well mannered, entertaining speaker, from 'the land of Rugh' as he described it. Dedicated in whatever he undertook. Our condolences for your loss.

Am so sorry for your loss. I knew "Elder" Rugh as a missionary in Upstate New York many years ago and loved his enthusiasm for missonary work. Sister (Page) Packer

He was such an optimist-an example for all of us to emulate. Enjoy the bike ride on the other side.
Love to you Susan, and Jeff, Jake and Pete and your families.
