Only knew 'Forty' for the few years he lived across the street from me
in La Jolla, CA... when we were both young. He was a nice and pleasant
person.

Saddened to discover news of the passing of my all-time favorite New Mexico Wrangler, Forty. I had hoped to see him again upon my return to the region, though I'll fondly recall our time spent together and, above all, his unwavering optimism.

Forty will never be forgotten. There were many people in Tularosa keeping an eye out for him. We will miss him and his mischievous ways.

Caroline and family,
It saddens me to hear about Forty leaving us. You and Forty were such great neighbors in Mesilla - seems like only yesterday! I would see him in Tularosa when I visited there - Forty always smiling and friendly. Those of us who knew him will always remember him fondly. GOD bless him and the family. Ida Lopez, Las Cruces,NM

To the family of Thomas Ryan (Forty) I remember Thomas from Tularosa, NM, when I went to go help him out at home at first he was kind of shy but then he got over it and he made me laugh we got along from then on and yes indeed he did have a good heart and a big ole smile. I often thought of him and what had happened to him. He is now with the love of his life and not suffering anymore. God Bless all of durning your time of sorrow.

Forty,
There are many of us that remember you riding your bicycle on the main streets of Las Cruces - dressed and pressed neat as pin and with your cowboy hat. We miss you. God bless you Forty and your family.
