Thomas Sagan

Thomas R. Sagan, 68, Vietnam War Army veteran, passed away in the company of his loving wife on June 7th, 2017. Tom is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Candace (nee Panegasser), children Cara (Lee) Streekstra and David (Kristen), and beloved grandchildren Laurel and Aaron. Son of Patricia (Malloy) and the late Raymond. Brother of Robert (fiancée Anna), Kathleen (John) McCaffrey, Timothy (Mary Patt), Maureen (Oz) Osbourne, Daniel (Mary), and Eileen (Charles) Finch. Brother-in-law to Joseph (Diane) Panegasser and Mary (Keith) Sparks. Tom was born in Chicago, IL in 1949 and served in the Vietnam War in the 75th Infantry Airborne Rangers, G Company from March of 1969 to March of 1970. One week after his return, he married his high school sweetheart, Candy, and joined his father in building the family business, Ray Sagan & Sons Machinery Moving, where he worked until retiring in 2012. He was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren taking great joy in their accomplishments. He loved nature, watching wildlife in the backyard, and enjoyed growing orchids. He was passionate about music and playing guitar. More than anything, he loved spending time with family and friends.
