Ray and I were members of the 1943 graduating class at Brentsville District High School in Nokesville, VA. His family and I attended the Methodist School there, and his mother was my Sunday School teacher when I was a child. In recent years when I returned for our class anniversary gatherings and for "Nokesville Days," Ray and I renewed our friendship. Occasionally since he and I would have long phone conversations. Having learned that his condition was worsening, I called him; and we again had a good conversation. I will continue to cherish my memories of him when we were both in school together as well as my most recent ones of him. I extend my sincere sympathy and all best wishes to Helen and the rest of his family.

To the Family:
I feel I should be there for the service as Ray was always there for me and mine, however it is almost impossible for me at this time. My thoughts, love and prayers will be there even if I am not. He was a great person and I will always remember and miss him.

I had the great honor of knowing and working for T. Ray back in 1968
when he had his Real Estate office
on Center Sreet. He was a extraordinary gentleman. I have never known a more thoughtful caring person in my life. He will truly be missed. My thoughts and prayers go with his family at this most difficult time. God Bless you all.
