Nikki, as I read the condolences of many friends and family, I was struck by one that described your dad as the "ultimate gentleman's gentleman; so proud of his girls..." While I did not know your dad, I know you, so he must have been an incredibly warm and compassionate man - your champion and supporter. What an imprint your father has no doubt made on his children and grandchildren. My thoughts are with you, your mom and your entire family during this very sad and difficult time.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Mr.Torchia. He was a great coach and father to his girls. My condolences to the family.

My condolences to the Torchia family. I was saddened to hear of Coach Torchia's passing. He was my high school football coach at Bishop Boyle High School in the 1970's. He was a fine man, a great teacher, he led by example. He was an excellent role model. May God's perpetual light shine upon him. Rest In Peace, Coach. God Bless You.

So sorry to learn of your loss. It made me think back to when I first met Tom, 54 years ago as I was a freshman at South Hills Catholic. We have crossed paths many times over these years especially in my years of coaching basketball. Tom was the ltimate "gentleman's gentleman."
Tom was so proud of his girls...always seeing him at games from St. Bernard's, St. Francis Academy, CCAC, and IUP.
I was blessed to have taught his grandchildren and see him, frequently, as I served as Athletic Director at Our Lady of Grace...as an official, he was a teacher of the game always explaining to the children his calls so that they learned to play the game the right way.
God bless the entire Torchia and Delsardo Clan over the coming days. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My heart aches for you all. I know how much love you have for your beloved husband and dad. trust that he will always be in your heart and surround you with his love... that love does not die. I will be away this weekend... but when I see you know there is a giant hug waiting to share.

My deepest sympathy on the passing of Tom. Tom and I had the privilege of distributing Holy Communion each month at St. Clair Hospital to the patients. We have been doing this for almost 20 years and it was my privilege to have known him during this time. I will miss him greatly but know that he has surely earned his reward in heaven. May he rest in loving arms of Christ for all eternity.
