Thomas Christopher TRANTER

August 15, 1943 - February 3, 2023
After a rapid decline from ailments stemming from a cancer diagnosis, Tom passed away on February 3, 2023 in his 80th year at Mount Sinai Hospital. Tom is survived by his wife, Debi, having the truest of friendship for over 55 years. Tom also leaves behind his children Bob (Vicki), Tom (the late Rose Rutledge), Mark, Becky (Patrick Hole) and daughter-in-law Jeannette Tranter (Weisshaupt). Grandad to Dylan, Josh, Serena, Caitlyn, the late Lydia, Johnny, Ben, Kyle, Tristyn, Alexis, Dallas, Shayla, Jayce and Brexten. Great granddad to Sophia and Harvey. Tom will be missed by his beloved pups, Fynagyn and Bella. Tom will be dearly missed by brothers Kevin (the late Anita), Jack (Lyn), Bernie (Marianne), Chris (the late Sandy) and sister-in-law June. He will be greeted at the gates by brothers Bryan, Gerry (Maryanne), Mike and his sister Angela Lawson (Bob). Dearly remembered by extended family and friends including his many childhood friendships that have lasted a lifetime and the unforgettable connections he made with the Nukkala family, Cedar Valley Resort and the PSCC community. Tom will be remembered fondly by his quick wit, charm, charisma and a smile that lights up every room. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to your local animal shelter in honour of Tom. Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby on Friday, February 10th from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday, February 11th at 11 a.m. until the Memorial Service beginning at noon.
