To Barb and all of the Trzcinski family, I was so sorry to learn yesterday of your loss. As an employee of the American Red Cross, I knew Tom as both a donor, and as a blood drive coordinator at Newburg Methodist Church. Wayne County also lost a very valued employee. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Tom was a wonderful man outside of his great work with the county. He mentored me as a football official and often times spoke of his love for his wife and gardening. He would often ask me questions relative to horticulture and his tiger lilies. God Bless his friends and family, he will truly be missed.

To Barbara and the Family,
We are deeply saddened by the news of your husband's death. What a tremendous loss. It must be difficult to imagine this loss and a life without him. I recently lost my father, and I will share with you there's not a day that goes by I don't think of him and the family memories. But,I feel better today than I did yesterday. Benjamin and I send our deepest sympathy. We leave with you an inspirational message "Happy times and by gone days are never lost....In truth, they grow more wonderful within the heart that keeps them."

Because Tom was so highly regarded as an official, to be able to say that I was a part of Tom's "crew" was a great honor. Over the past 8 years I have come to know Tom as a friend and to spend those 9 to 13 Friday nights in the fall with him had become very special. I will miss him immensely. Tom was a great man, leader and mentor.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Tom's untimely passing. I only heard last night and thus was unable to pay my last respects. I will use this forum to do so. Tom and I met, playing grade school basketball. His school defeated mine in the championship game. As you might expect, he was a ferocious competitor. We became good friends and played on the same teams (thank goodness) in middle and high school. Tom always had a smile and his positive demeanor was an inspiration for all of us kids growing up. He was a regular at our high school Saturday night poker games at least until he met Barb, his soulmate and the love of his life. Their relationship was exemplary and I was privileged to hitchhike home from college at Harvard to stand up in their wedding. Tom was a tireless worker and I still smile about memories seeing Tom driving UM buses around A2 during my medical school days. I marveled at his relentless energy. As can often happen, we sort of lost touch in our adult years, both of us with very hectic professional lives. When we did get together, talk would always turn to kids and sports and I loved hearing his passion for his children, Barb and refereeing. Not surprisingly, given two wonderful role models, his children have grown to be very successful, contributing members of society. Having not seen Tom for many years, I asked him to attend our 40th high school reunion this past June. It was awesome seeing Tom and Barb and their continued love for each other was obvious to all. My wife and I loved hearing about their 4 year old great niece that they were raising. I thought, "same old Tom",loving, giving, energetic and selfless even as he approached his 60s. We promised to get together soon, but unfortunately that never happened and now never will. He will be missed by all. I am frustrated that a man with so much more to give to this imperfect world, was taken so early. Tom has taught me many things and in his passing has taught me one more. Reach out to your family and friends. Tell them how much you appreciate and love them. Tomorrow is promised to none of us. Tom, you have helped and influenced me more than you ever knew. Barb, you and your family have our most sincere condolences. If there is anything Amy and I can do to help, please let us know.

What a tremendous loss to the family and friends who loved Tom, to the people of Wayne County and to the Prosecutor family who looked up to him, admired him and learned so very much from him...Tom, you had a gift. You were a fighter for justice, and you relentlessly pursued right, in a job where we see so many wrongs. I'm praying constantly for your family, that they find the strength they need to get through this time of grief and heartache. And I'm praying that our office bands together, and continue our fight, in your honor, in 2014. It was a fight that so many of us learned from you. God bless.

Tom lived his live with passion which was dispalyed with every completed criminal case. Tom is a dedicated, articulate, and admirable prosecutor and man. Wayne County Courts will not be the same without you. You will always be remembered and it was a pleasure to know you professionally. To his family please know how lucky you are to have been part of his life. May God, prayers, strength, and love hold you close. I must close with a remark Tom always used at the end of a conversation "God Bless."

It is with great sadness I learned of this. My prayers and thoughts go out to Tom's family and loved ones. Tom has touched us with his kindness, wisdom and charm. It is in these times we are able to reflect upon the fact we are on this earth for a short time, with a mission to make a positive impact where ever we can. We all know that Tom certainly did this, his influence and the memories for all of us will be remembered and treasured. The Lord has a plan for all of us, we just need to trust God's work and know he is all knowing.
Bless you Tom you memory will live on

I am very saddened to hear of Tom's passing. I had many cases with Tom during my time with DPD, and even talked to him a couple of months ago about an old case. I have always said that if I or a member of my family were a crime victim in Wayne County, I would want Tom to handle the prosecution. He was a great man and a great, tireless lawyer. To Barb and the kids, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. May Tom Rest in Peace.
