Thomas Willard Obituary
NEWARK: A funeral service celebrating the life of Thomas Eugene Willard, age 66, of Newark, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 11, at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Jim Young officiating. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens where the Licking County Veterans Alliance will provide military honors.
Tom passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 12, 1947 in Newark, to the late Lester M. and Esther L. (Thompson) Willard.
Tom graduated from Licking Valley High School in 1966. After High School Tom joined the Army, and served in the Vietnam War. He was a Retired First Sergeant of the 211 and 214 maintenance companies. He also retired from OMS in Newark where he was a painter and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He was also a member of Newark Elks Lodge #391.
Tom is survived by his wife, Glenna I. (Fouts); three children, Tammy M. (Mike Smith) Smith-Willard of Granville, Michael L. (Stephanie Lamp) Willard of Johnstown and Thomas M. Willard of Newark; three step-children, Theresa (fiancé Tim Campbell) Fouts of Newark, Diana (Fred) Nebbergall of Columbus, and James (Kelly) Fouts of Newark; grandchildren, Monika M. Smith, Brittney Smith, Joni Willard, Ashley Speck and Marcia Ward; step-grandchildren, Eric, Anna, Ernest and Benjamin Fouts; great-grandson, Jaden; a sister, Judy Yingling; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, and an hour prior to the service on Monday at the Newark Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta -Stickle Funeral and Cremation Service, 59 North Fifth Street, Newark.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom. I remember when his mom and dad and Judy used to come out to our farm. I know he was a great person. He graduated with my older brother Otis. May the good lord help you in your time of grief. The great memories will help as well.
