Naples - Surrounded in love by his family, friends, and beloved dog, Thomas Harry Wilson passed away peacefully at home on December 8th, 2025. Tom was born February 15th, 1947, in Trenton, NJ to Harry Charles Wilson and Audrey Jean (DeSau) Wilson. Many of Tom's childhood memories consisted of time in the garden with his grandparents, accompanying his grandfather on his milk delivery route, both church and school choir, tapdancing, and learning about fabric and textiles from his mother and grandmother. Tom's childhood church family was an influential part of his upbringing.

Tom initially crossed paths with the love of his life, Joan, while attending a church summer camp in Lebanon, NJ. They were later reconnected when attending Eastern Baptist College. During his high school years (Trenton Central High School), Tom was the first male volunteer at the Helene Fuld Hospital where he later was employed through college. Tom often spoke of his time working in the hospital setting in the lab, phlebotomy departments, and many more. After graduating from college, Tom married Joan on August 15th, 1970. They spent 1 year living in Keene, New Hampshire before settling in their first official home in Titusville, NJ. Tom earned his Master's Degree in Education and spent his early career teaching teenagers in a program designed for Gifted Students with Social Emotional Needs within the Trenton State Hospital. In the early 1980's Tom pursued his permanent career, which was inspired by his time with his mother and maternal grandmother. Tom led a successful career in Fashion. In 1982 he opened Abigail Starr; one of the first high end designer women's plus size clothing stores in the nation. His stores were located in New Hope, PA and Naples, Fl.

Tom loved family first, with friends coming a close second. He was an avid traveler, entertainer, and consignment shopper/repurposer. Whenever music was playing, Tom would be seen dancing, regardless of the pain he may be experiencing. Tom was ALWAYS the first one on the dance floor and the last to leave.

Tom is predeceased by his parents, his sister-in-law Patricia Warner, his grandson Matthew Bresee, and his "Ma" Lucy Furguson. He lovingly leaves behind his wife, Joan Warner Wilson; daughter Carey Raimo; son-in- law John Raimo; his son Stewart Todd Wilson; his daughter-in-law Heidi Wilson; his grandsons Jonathan Bresee and Nicholas Lieving; and his dog Sir Prize. Tom also leaves behind many close friends, both old and new.

Tom's family would like to thank the caregivers who loved him and cared for him over the past 4 and a half years......you know who you are. You brought comfort, love, and fun to his life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Golden Paws Assistance Dogs at www.goldenpaws.org, or the Alzheimer's Support Network at SUPPORT.NETWORK in Tom's name. In your daily life, please remember Tom by dancing whenever given the chance.

What a beautiful tribute to Mr. Tom. He and Joan were among our first friends when we moved to Pennsylvania. So many happy memories--yes, the dancing, and the laughing--I will never forget his laugh.

I have had the privilege of working with Joan for many years.
Tom has always been a kind, generous and witty man, despite his own many struggles. I will miss his laughter and his smile.
