Thomas Lee Yanus, 76, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Salisbury, Maryland. Born on July 24, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a devoted husband, father, and respected professional in the field of radiation therapy.

Thomas graduated from Brecksville High School before pursuing a career in radiologic technology. He earned his degree at Montgomery College and furthered his expertise at George Washington University School of Radiation Therapy. His commitment to healthcare was evident through his role as Chief Radiation Therapist, where he left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and patients.

Serving in the US Navy from 1967 to 1972, Thomas was proud of his military service and often shared stories of his experiences with fellow veterans. His dedication to his country was a defining aspect of his character.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Mary Yanus. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen Yanus; children, Scott Yanus, Michael Yanus, and Alexandra Radziewicz; and many friends who will miss his warmth and guidance.

An avid sports enthusiast, Thomas enjoyed baseball, football, and ice hockey. He was a dedicated coach for his children's baseball and basketball teams, spending many hours studying the best approaches to coaching young players. He loved music and enjoyed listening to all genres of music, in addition to playing guitar and saxophone.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at the family home in Salisbury, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory and legacy. Thomas's life was marked by his commitment to service, family, and community, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
