Merika, I never met your mother but from the stories you would tell me about her, I felt like I knew her. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

To the garland burke family: I met Mrs.Garland about tens years ago at the Hampton Inn on bay street. Mrs.Garland gave me my job there and i have been there every since. What i am trying to say is that somtimes the lord put some people in your life for a reason and this the way i felt about Mrs.Garland. There is so much i can say about Mrs.Garland but this guest book is not big enough. So i`ll just say that she was a friend and a mother and i will always remember Mrs.Thomasina Garland. love Chrish

Merika, David, Robert and all those beautiful grandchildren Thomasina was so proud of; keep strong and know that this powerful, funny, insightful, thoughtful, and amazing woman is watching over all of us now. I worked with Thomasina at the Hampton Inn Downtown, she was so much more than a colleague she has been a friend for many years now and we've shared our families over the phone for ten years. I can't imagine not picking up the phone one October 7th to wish her a happy birthday and reminisce over our past and catch up on our current lives. She was an example I cherrished, and I will hold on to all she taught me professionally and personally. With every fitted sheet I can fold up into a perfect square I will think of the days she took to teach me. God Bless you Thomasina Garland, he has taken his treasure home and we are all the richer for having known you and been able to call you friend.

Merika, I am so sorry for the passing of your mother. I'm sure she is one of the great inspirations in your life. Now that she has found eternal peace, may your life be a testament to her's. Stay strong. Peace be unto you and yours.

Robert & David, may God's Peace and strength continue to guide you through this time of bereavement, Merika, my best friend, my sister, I love you and you know that if you ever need me for anything I am here. You are a strong woman of God, you have endured to the end, know that God will continue to strenghten you and give you the Peace you need to continue on. Mommy will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts and memories....and you know its a lot of them (smile)..

Mrs. Thomasina and my mother (the deceased) Jackie Ervin were very good friends and co-workers. I can remember alot of time spending time at the house with Merika and David have fun while our mothers do some major cooking for some function that they were involved with. Alot of years have gone by and contact was lost. Please remember that she was loved by alot of people and she will definitely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Nathaniel, David and Merika during this sad time remember what a great Mom, a great friend, and co-worker Thomasina was to everyone. I was her manager at Jo-Ann Fabrics for many years. She never turned me down when I needed someone to fill in. She was a treasure to know and love. God be with you and with her spirit.
