Brilliant, compassionate, curious, cantankerous, and such a host and hedonist - and so human in his (like ours) frailties and foibles. What a treat it was to know him and spend time, brain & liver cells in his company for 26 years. There'll never be another one like him and that's the way it should be. Thank you Thor for the great times, tolerating my terrible puns, and for always being up for drinks and dinner on a whim.

This is incredibly sad news. I recall lunch at A16 in S.F. with Thor some twenty years ago during one of his and Theresa´s annual visits to the left coast. I was in awe of his love of burrata. Unfortunately the dinners from those trips are more difficult to recall, (thanks to the Stupids.) Very sad to hear that the hammer has been silenced. Love to all.

It is often said that we die 2 deaths. One when we breath our last and one when our name is lost to the ages. Everytime I try a new and adventurous dish, splurge on the slightly too expensive cocktail or stay for one more bottle of wine, I can be sure you are there smiling in approval. I will miss the meals we didn't have and the conversations left unsaid.

He was such a host! Thor.... Interesting conversation, exceptional music, delicious food, lots of laughs and wine with just the right amount of tannins! RIP Thor.

Thor was a gracious host and accomplished chef for many dinners that we enjoyed at his home in Quechee. Our condolences to his family.
