Aunt Mary
October 15, 2018
I am Tia Mae Randall's aunt and I am sorry to say I really didn't know her very well. I can't tell about fun we had, or things I saw her do, or even conversations we had. What I can do is speak to the legacy she left behind. We expect to see heartache and love from the family of those who pass. What I also saw when we lost Tia was an outpouring of love and respect and loss from those whose life she impacted. The stories people told about her...amazing. She clearly was a person who was comfortable with herself. She was a dedicated worker, not just to get a paycheck and take care of her family - she took care of those she worked with and the customers that frequented Mr Burger. Some of those customers, no doubt returned because of her happy and generous care of them. She was the spitting image of her Mom. No family gets through this life without struggles within, siblings fight, parents get overwhelmed, yet the love and devotion only families can experience was obvious and warmly felt as we remembered her. Many spoke of how wonderful her two children are. Several spoke of Tia's dedication and how important they were to her. She demonstrated through her actions how much she loved and cared for them. Tia created and guided her children and caring for them in a way that resulted in their wonderfulness.
She set an example we should all pay attention to. Care for each other, be positive and smile. I'm sure she's smiling down on all those she cared for so deeply, her friends and family alike. I wonder what she would say if she could leave us with one last goodbye. Maybe it would be take care of each other, be kind and I'll see you later.
