It's been over a decade since we lost him and I find myself thinking back to all the adventure's we had.
Those days were very special to all of us I'm sure. Time has a way of reminding us that we are all mortal and our time here is short. Tim's passing had a way of making all us realize that. He had so munch to live for and it was unfortunate that it was cut so very short. Tim, here's to you my brother thank you for all the memories.

I'm so sorry to hear of Tim's passing. I hadn't seen him in many years but we lived across the street from each other when we were children. For many years he and my little brother, Robert, were best friends.
I remember Tim as a cheerful energetic guy, ready to build a fort in the back yard or play what ever game was suggested.
It sounds as if he had a great life.

I lost a special friend...
It's so hard to comprehend...
Why his gentle spirit had to go so soon...
He gave me his smile...and we shared our time awhile...no years too old..and waiting for our stories to unfold.....
He was old enough to dream...Old enough to love...A pearl a perfect world is worthy of...Just a sailor full of wonder...setting out to sea...He was just like me...
He was just like me......
His world was not too small...Although his life embrased us all...and his heartsong was a simple pray of peace...He could tell the truth to Kings...and make me laugh at silly things...There was something in his eyes...so nice to be so wise......
But he was old enough to dream...old enough to love...A pearl a perfect world is worthy of...Just a sailor full of wonder...setting out to sea...He was just like me...He was just like me...
Yearning learning...need to be turning, turning...all of this saddness into something good.....
I miss him everyday...and the way he use to say..."Remember to play, after every strom"...And I know he'll be with me...As I sail my own blue sea...Reminding me to live...Reminding me to give..... He was old enought to dream...Old enough to love...A pearl a perfect world is worthy of...Just a sailor full of wonder...setting out to sea...He was just like me...He was just like me.........

To Tim's "old band bud, "70",

I want to thank you very much for sponsoring The Guest Book for Tim Gregg until Feb. 08, 2009. I am very greatful to you. I speak on behalf of our children, and myself, who go to it often to find comfort in knowing that so many people loved their dad, and have so many wonderful stories to tell.
Thank you for creating the opportunity for Tim's spirit to live on through this book. As we listen to the music that he recorded in the "70's we will think about what a special time that was for Tim and the band. We are very appreciative for people like you who shared in some of the most joyful times in his life, and have shared those stories with us.

Most Sincerely,

1970 Tim and Sally

Hi Tim…it’s me again…your high school sweetheart. You have been on my mind so much lately. Your service was moving and joyful…your children are gorgeous…and it was wonderful to see old friends and your beautiful family. I am glad to know you were surrounded by so much love these past several years. I wish I had seen more of you! I wanted to post one more photo of the class of 1970’s ‘cutest couple.” This is one of my all time favorite pictures of you…your purity and beauty shine through.

I miss you and hope you have found the peace you so richly deserve.

With much love,
Sally

I was a classmate of Tim's at PLHS and remember him as the nicest guy with the cutest smile. It is gratifying to hear that he did so well in his career as a young man and was such a class act to the end of his life. Of all people, he certainly did not deserve Parkinson's. Rest in peace, Tim. We will miss you! My condolences to Tim's family and friends.

Hey Tim ,It seemed like yesterday we were in Silvergate and Dana Jr high school together, and going to the beach and riding my Go Kart at Robb field ,Boy you sure liked doing that ! I can still see your childlike smile and remember the day I came over to play and mom and dad made you get a haircut and you refused to come out of your room ,but then you did and we both laughed ,you played your guitar (my favorite song ) and off we went for another day of adventure.I have not seen you since Jr high and was sad that you are gone ,I always think about you when I drive past the old house that you grew up in and the fun times we had together .If God should make you a cloud for a short time ,I will always know you cause you will have the Gold and Silver lining. And last but not least , It's not How You Die , It's what you lived for (daniel boone). And you were a great companion !

It's been a long time...but I remember Tim as a very happy young boy at the house on Santa Monica and I was saddened at the news of his death and more so at the fact that he had suffered from such a young age from a disease like Parkinsons. Tim is now free from all of his pain and I can only hope that time will ease your pain of losing him...

Dear Family and Beloved Friends,
I was so sorry and saddened to learn of Timmy's death. He was a remarkable person of great depth and courage - a true inspiration to all that were fortunate enough to know him, love him, and share a part of their lives with him.
We dated for a few months 10 years ago and I will always remember the belly laughs and fun that we had together. He was the only person that could make me pee my pants laughing. And when he sat down at my piano, his tremors would vanish as he got lost in his music. What a talent! What a terrific soul!
I recall learning of his marriage to a " wonderful woman" named Michelle. God bless you for bringing happiness and love to Timmy's life. I have heard how you nurtured and cared for him throughout his devastating illness. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and extend my condolences to the other members of your family, especially his dear children.
I am sure that there is a very special place in heaven for Timmy.
Sincerely,
Pam Higgins

It's been years since I have seen Timmy. We were very close neighbors on Santa Monica Ave. We had so many great times just hanging out in the front yard talking and laughing for hours. He loved riding his skateboard and could ride his unicycle with ease. I'll always cherish those memories.

My sincere sympathy to his family.

Dear Tim:
It's been since the Fed Mart days on Sports Arena, that I last saw Tim. I regret that we lost touch over all these years, he was probably the funniest guy I ever met.
He had an uncanny way of motivating people that always amazed me.
My sincere condolences to his family, we will all laugh a little less without him.

Dear Tim, I recently moved back to San Diego from S.Lake Tahoe after 20 years and by word of mouth ran into friends, fellow school mates and some people from the Fed-Mart days. I have a photos of you and some other Fed Mart employees when we took a day off from work to go skiing at
Big Bear. Those were the good ole days, not a care in the world, hanging out with best friends and having fun at work and after, playing baseball at Ocean Beach baseball field. I loved working with all the people at Fed Mart. It just seemed like everyone there was unique and you never knew what was going to happen when Gary came to work or Paul Rys or Jackie. I read about your book and all your many accomplishments, being a stand up comic, playing piano and guitar and the many other special traits that so many people admired in you.It really touched my heart. Your friends and family must have been so proud of you. As fate would have it, our paths were not meant to meet but I will always remember you. Take care. KIM

What more can I say about the 'King' of "ring the door bell and run." The Grand Master of water balloon tossing. The Pyro-Genius of fake firecrackers with real fuses. Playing hide and go seek at the corner. Sneaking through the attic at night to scare the dickens out of Jeanne and me during sleepovers. Oh, the pranks Tim would pull. When Tim Gregg came out to play, the Santa Monica Ave kids knew something special was going to happen. We would laugh so hard that our faces hurt.

We'll miss you, Tim!!!!

I spent with you and your family. We will hold you in our hearts forever dear friend.

Tim,Indeed you were a special soul and touched everyone's lives with your intelligent sensitivity and creativity. I'll always have several lasting reminders of you in the work you did for me in my house. We had so much fun shopping together at EXPO!And I love the pantry that you built for me. What I'll remember most of all is the love that you brought to my dear friend of 26 yrs.-Michele. I referred to you two as the "enchanted couple." That's the way you always appeared-loving and devoted. You shall be missed and thanks for contributing to my life-you've definitely made it better.

Although we did not know you long, we felt like we had known you all of our lives. That is just the way you made people feel. It is a gift and rare trait to have had what you possessed. We will miss your smile, your goofy jokes and your wonderful singing and guitar playing. It is truly a loss to the planet that you are gone from here but you will never be gone from our minds and hearts. Thank you for being a special part of our lives. Love, Jo Anna & Manni Burghardt

Tim…You were my first love…and what a special young love we enjoyed together. We were best buddies and did so many fun things…bike riding, picnics, Disneyland, family vacations...the list goes on and on. I cherish the innocence of that time in our lives and now see it as one of the best relationships I have enjoyed. We knew how to laugh and play and just ‘be’ together. Your spirit was kind, joyful, sweet and caring. You were an angel in life and now your beautiful soul can shine down on everyone who was lucky enough to have been touched by your special being. May you truly rest in peace.
With all my love, Sally

Oh my brother...It's been so many years ago that we worked at Fed Mart together, and I am truly saddened and feel such a sense of loss...you were the first person to ever cover one of my songs when you played at the Brigantine back in the early seventies, and gave me the faith that I could go on writing, I have thought about you and Jeanne often and am sorry I never got a chance to say goodbye.

Timmy...Through out the years we watched you handle every obstacle that you were handed, with class and dignity....never the "why me" attitude. You sang a special song for Susi at our wedding, 28 years ago....The song was "You are so beautiful"....That day, the song was for her...today its for you. This world was a better place with you in it my friend...Rest in peace.

I have not seen Tim in many years, but knew him as a Pt. Loma High School classmate of my daughter Sally. I recall him well, as a fine young man, who I was happy to see dating my daughter. The world lost a special one and a dear sole in Tim. My life is better by knowing Tim and his special way of making everyone smile. I am smiling while writing this just thinking of Tim up in Heaven singing songs and telling jokes to Ernie Hahn.

Tim, you will be missed by all of us that knew you starting with the early years at FedMart ( and as I recall being consistently assigned to cart duty !!) followed by the many Hahn Schools wherein you were always able to bring a smile/laughter to each of our faces. Do not create too much havoc in Heaven as there are a few us who still aspire to meet up with you at a later date - Doug

Tim, what a wonderful person you were. So funny! I remember the time we went to dinner at The Vine in O.B. with you and your wife Michele, my friend Michele and her boyfriend Philip and my friend Kerry. You were having a hard time talking, but were laughing with everyone. You got up to go to the restroom and came back out to our table with toilet paper stuck in the back of your pants and stuck to the bottom of your shoe. Our whole table just roared with laughter. Oh how I miss you. I hope you are looking down at all of us on Saturday and smiling at all of us celebrating your life. Michele is filling your truck with beer and wine for the celebration. Isn't that a hoot? Anyhow, will always love you and miss you. If you see a beautiful girl named Sara, tell her she is also still missed. You will like her. Funny just like you :). Adios my friend.
