In memory of
Rick Amos
October 15, 2024
I have had the privilege of knowing Tim since elementary school, and from that very first day, I knew my life would never be the same.
He and I were partners in mischief from the start. We were always up to something, usually it was innocent, like sneaking around after curfew or pulling off pranks that would leave our classmates (and sometimes teachers) baffled. But sometimes it was just a case of bad judgement but let us do it anyway. There are so many stories I could share. Since his passing, I have replayed most of them in my mind and looking back I am surprised that we rarely got caught.
But beyond the jokes and laughter, there was something more to him. He had this way of making everyone feel like they were part of the adventure, like life itself was an endless opportunity to have fun. Later in life we would recount the stories and think "it was our version of the movie The Hangover". If you were lucky enough to be around him, you were lucky enough to be caught in that whirlwind of fun and spontaneity.
I think we all can agree that there was never a dull moment when he was around. His laughter was infectious, his spirit unbreakable. And while it is hard to imagine life without him now, I take comfort in the fact that after less frequent conversations over the past 15 years, I was able to spend more time with him and say a final goodbye before his passing.
We will all miss Tim-his humor, his warmth, his ability to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary. But I know he is still with us, watching over us, probably laughing with his unique cackle, and reliving some of those stories with Joe Rudy in heaven with both planning their next great prank.
To everyone who had the good fortune to know him, you know just how much of a loss this is. But let us remember to keep his spirit alive, in the laughter, in the love, and in the beautiful chaos that was life with him.
Thank you, my friend, for all the adventures, for being my partner in mischief, and for being the incredible person you were. You will always be missed, but never forgotten.

My deepest sympathy to Freida, Cindy and Chip.
Wheels, always made me smile.
I will never forget the time at Clancy's, after school, and he smacked the ketchup pack and it shot in Rick Amos's blonde hair. We all laughed so much. Good times!
Until we meet again, my friend.
RIP

Wheels as he was known always made those he worked with at Speedway laugh. It was my pleasure Tim on my team in Minnesota and always found him to be a happy person. RIP Tim!
