Timothy W. Doolittle, 64, of Harcourt, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012, at his home in Harcourt. Tim's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 28, 2012, at Carson – Stapp Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor John Elkin will officiate. Military Graveside Rites and burial will be at the Iowa Veteran's Cemetery in Van Meter at 2:00 p.m., Friday. For online obituaries and condolences visit: www.carsonstappfuneralhome.com Timothy Wilson Doolittle was born on December 8, 1948, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Donald and Stella (Rhoads) Doolittle. He graduated with the Webster City High School class of 1966, and furthered his education at Iowa Central Community College and the University of Iowa. Tim enlisted in the United States Army where he served as an M.P. in Vietnam. After returning from the service, he owned and operated Doolittle Painting and Roofing for 30+ years. Tim had lived in the communities of Webster City, Fort Dodge, and Harcourt. Tim attended Lighthouse Church in Fort Dodge and was a strong supporter of the Christian Ministries. He enjoyed going to the movies, barbequing, and fishing. Survivors include five children, Jordan Doolittle of Harcourt, Iowa, Jessica Doolittle and Jennifer Doolittle of Kearney, Nebraska, Joel Doolittle, and Jacob Doolittle of Harcourt, Iowa; ex-wife, Diane Doolittle of Harcourt, Iowa; two grandchildren, Jaiden and Javon Foy; one brother, Tony Doolittle of Denver, Colorado; and one sister, Cindy Hansen of Fort Dodge, Iowa. His parents preceded him in death. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
