My baby brother Tim. What can I say. I will miss you always as will many others. I just read all the guest messages. I am impressed, but not surprised, by all the tributes and fond recollections and how you made everyone smile.
I am so glad that we reconnected. There was no reason for us to have drifted apart. I am also blessed to have met Carrie and Eric. They are truly wonderful people who have given you much love and happiness.
I have so many things that I have wanted to say to you. All good. I tried to be the best big brother ever. I enjoyed our breakfast meetings at Kirby's and lunches at the Green Lantern.
Rest In Peace. I love you and I miss you very much.

My brother, Tim, was always the great Adventurer to me. He seemed to make life easy and fun. He always had so much going on. He taught me the appreciation of cool cars and provided me with my one and only Telegraph cruising experience. I will miss his presence here on this Earth, but he remains forever in my heart and soul. I love you, Tim.

Tim, you were my brother, my confidant, and my hero. You were always there for me, always believed me and believed in me, and protected me the best way you could. You helped me learn to read and to color in the lines. I loved it when you let me draw on your back. You always made room for me and that's the man that you were for everyone. You were truly the best of us and I'm going to miss you dearly. I love you Tim, always. Good bye big brother.

I want to express my most heartfelt sympathy to the entire Durkin Family at the loss and passing of Tim.
I have known the Durkin Family ever since Mike and I attended Christmas Seal Camp way back in 1961; we were (9) years old. That fall, we moved into the Herman Gardens Apartments and met up with Mike at Herman Elementary and I first met the family. Tim would chum around with Mike and me, my younger brothers Wayne and Steve. At times, it seemed like I was an addition to the Durkin Clan and Mike and Tim were additions to my family, the Switzers.
There are so many memories I have from those days but, a couple always comes to mind. I remember the first time Tim pulled up at his house on his Red Honda 750. Wow! What a bike! It was one of the faster bikes around and Tim was definitely Mr. Cool! But, he never let all the attention go to his head, he was just Tim! Another fond memory of Tim was when he and I drove down to Newport News Virginia to pick up my Brother Wayne and bring him home. On the way home we went across Virginia and West Virginia to Princeton, WV and stayed with my mom's sister, Aunt Lovah and Uncle Crowley overnight. I was (19) so Tim had to be (17) and Wayne was (15). When we woke up the next morning Aunt Lovah was making a typical Southern Breakfast for us boys, eggs, bacon, biscuits and pan gravy! Tim asked if he could just have cereal. So, my aunt gave Tim an unopened large box of Cheerios and said Help yourself and eat as much as you want! About a half hour later, as we were helping cleanup, my Uncle Crowley grabbed the Cheerio's Box and mentioned that we could throw the empty box away! My aunt Lovah turned and started laughing and asked Tim if he had enough to eat. Tim answered I could probably eat some more Cheerios but, I don't know if I have the room! He had eaten the entire box by himself! Wow, for a skinny guy, he sure could pack away the groceries.
When my wife Joy and I got married in Oct. of 1973, I asked Tim to be my Best Man and he was hit of our wedding! He also has a very sharp and hot 1970 Chevelle SS!
About a year and half ago I found Tim on Facebook and we managed to call each other a few times and were going to get together but, our schedules were just too busy! This I am really sorry for and I am glad we had a chance to re-connect and stayed in touch.
I pray that our heavenly father will send the Holy Spirt to hold and comfort each and every one of you in this time of sorrow and I can just imagine Jesus coming up to Tim as he arrived in Heaven and said to him, Well done my good and faithful servant, well done! You lived your life well; you have been a wonderful Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Papa and a friend to all!

We met Tim in 1986 when he started work at International. He and Jon worked together for years and have been friends ever since. I became Tim's "girlfriend" shortly after he hired into the company and we have remained close ever since. Wherever Tim went and whomever he met , he left a lasting impression. His smile was infectious. The whole in our hearts is large - Till we meet again in bird heaven - enjoy life pain free our friend.
