Timothy R. Flick

Timothy Robert Flick was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and an aficionado of all things dog related. He passed away Monday, September 25th from complications of Covid pneumonia.

Timothy was born April 12, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio to Nadine and Robert Flick. He graduated cum laude with a BS in accounting from St. Joseph's College in 1970. He proudly served 27 years as an agent with The United States Secret Service retiring as the Assistant Agent In Charge of the Criminal Division of the Chicago Field Office in 1997. He went on to become the first Inspector General of Cook County before leaving in 2002 to become one of the founding members of

The Department Of Homeland Security.

Tim always said he had two careers; the first with the USSS and a second one competing in AKC agility. He was an ardent competitor, putting MACH titles on Mitzi and GMan, and "almost" MACH on Sprint. GMan and he competed in the AKC National Agility Championships in 2014 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and again in 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mitzi took the title of Top Smooth Fox Terrier in Agility at the 2008 Invitational in Long Beach, California. He was passionate about the sport of dog agility, he loved his peers, and this second act gave him such purpose and joy in his life.

He was predeceased by his parents and sister Jerri Ledington. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan, daughter Erin Eskew (Jason), grandson Hudson, brothers Don Flick (Burela), John Flick (Paula), sister Pat Finan, brother in law Richard Kaye (Diana) and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will have a celebration of life at a future date.
