Timothy McCormick Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 20, 2024.
Timothy J. McCormick, age 70, of Waynesville, Ohio passed away suddenly on March 7, 2024. Tim was born on October 15, 1953. He was the son of John T. and Hazel (Deady) McCormick who preceded him in death. Tim was married to Grace (McIntosh) McCormick who preceded him in death. He had a stepdaughter, Casee Beckman. He was survived by his sisters: Carol Voglewede, Kathy Voglewede, Nancy Mussro, and Martha, and Mary Ann (Richards), who preceded him in death. Tim has 4 surviving brothers: Dennis, Joseph, Terrence, and Thomas. Tim also leaves behind his beloved feline kids, Blacky, Sissy, and Sadie.

Tim was a licensed physical therapist and graduated near the top of his class from the Ohio State University. He was co-owner of Wilmington Physical Therapy and provided exceptional care for the surrounding community of southwest Ohio for 20 years. Tim was known for his passionate and caring approach and treating his patients with dignity.

Tim loved and understood nature. When Tim was a young boy, he and his brother Joe, dreamt of someday having a "farm". As Tim's career blossomed it didn't take long before he located and acquired the perfect piece of land to make the dream a reality. Tim, with the help of Joe and some friends planted hundreds of seedlings on the land. It has been truly amazing to watch acres of farmland turn into a beautiful natural wildlife sanctuary.

Tim's laugh was truly infectious. He touched his fellow classmates and friends often with his own brand of storytelling that made everyone laugh and feel as if they were there.

Tim was a man of deep faith. He read scripture daily and enjoyed sharing and discussing it with others. His family and friends are comforted knowing that Tim is in God's loving care. And, Tim and Grace are now reunited in God's heavenly promise.

Tim's life was a testament to his devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ, to his attributes of honesty and humility, and to the impact one person can have on the natural world around them. He will be deeply missed by all those he touched, but the memories he created will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the American Legion Banquet Hall, 5700 Kentshire Dr, Kettering, OH 45440.

Charitable contributions to St Jude Children's Research Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

Our family was blessed by Tim´s friendship for too short a time. We moved next door to Tim only a couple years ago but in that short time, we formed an amazing bond. Tim´s caring spirit, joyful laughter and generous attitude made him such a wonderful neighbor; the kind everyone always hopes for. Coffee together in the morning or a beer in the evening ... it was never a dull moment. I loved our conversations and his company will truly be missed. I never had the opportunity to meet Grace, but you spoke a lot about her. Rest in peace and enjoy being reunited with Grace.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all your family.

Tim was our Physical Therapist at Pine Crest Nursing Center for many years where he met his wife Grace. Tim was such a caring man and treated each of his patients with love and kindness. He went above and beyond his role of therapist and they became family. He has now been reunited with the love of his life.

Tim was a good friend I knew from our mutual friend Bill. We had many great times together with Tim. Our camping trip to the Smokey Mountains was one of the best times. Tim's sense if humor was so wonderful. He always made me laugh. Tim was one of the best people I will ever know. I love him and miss him. Godspeed Tim.

RIP Uncle Tim!
It´s hard to believe you are gone. I have so many childhood memories from your visits. Climbing trees, hiking in the mountains, and your stories! You brought a lot of laughter and knew how to have a good time. I admired your drive to become a Physical Therapist, your care towards others, and your deep faith. You are truly missed! But it´s a comfort to know you are in the presence of your Savior, reunited with the love of your life, and exploring all of heaven´s beauty! I´m looking forward to seeing you again!
Lots of love,
Kara

My special friend Tim.. I simply can´t believe you are gone. I hear your laugh and see your smile in my dreams and thoughts daily
You always had so much to say.. to make us laugh, smile or think about, plus were always helpful with health tips ... you pulled us through difficult times.
I will never forget my dear friend Tim.
I am thankful and blessed to have known Tim.
I will always think of Tim often.
It´s too hard for Jim to put into words his friendship with Tim... well beyond friendship, a brother Tim was.
