In memory of
Chris Kramer

TJ was my childhood friend. My best friend. We met in middle school. We skipped school and waited in line for Return of the Jedi at 6:00 in the morning. We rode our bikes everyday, we got our motor scooter licenses together. We learned to drive cars and pulled each other around on our skateboards like Marty McFly. I told him a joke and he spit a mouthful of oranges all over me. I kicked him under the table once when he told my parents we were out looking for girls. He said "What are you kicking me for?" in front of everybody. We grew up and lost touch but once or twice a year, and I wondered why we haven't spoken in a few months. November 2 was always the day I contacted him to let him and his mother know I was thinking of them on the anniversary of Chip's passing. I didn't hear back from TJ today. I looked him up and found the obituary. For me, he died today. November 5 is his birthday. I'll light a candle just for him. I miss him now more than ever. I'm so sorry for Caroline. I'm going to go get that Christmas frisbee out now and cry a little more.
