It was truly an honor to have Tim as my brother-in-law. Some of my earliest memories go back to our college days when Debbie and I were in the same dormitory at VCU in Richmond, Virginia.Tim traveled from Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina, and met Debbie on a blind date. Once the two of them began dating, my role quickly became sneaking Debbie back into the dorm after curfew.
I will always be grateful for the time I was able to work alongside Tim when he became manager at Best Product in Richmond while I was a part-time college student. With his guidance, I began to understand the value of good communication and how important it is to present yourself positively to others. His influence has stayed with me and I remember him with gratitude.
Tim faced a serious illness for the past 10 years, and it was both an honor and a privilege for me to make multiple trips each year to visit him in Pennsylvania and be part of his care and support team. No matter if it was a good day or a hard day Tim always greeted me with a hug, a warm smile, and words of thanks for coming.
We always joked when I arrived that I was the "bad penny,"always returning and impossible to get rid of. That joke became one of our traditions and it always brought us laughter, even in difficult times.
I love you, Tim and you will meet this "bad penny" again one day.
Rest in peace, my brother-in-law and my friend.
