Timothy Orner Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 17, 2025.
Timothy J. Orner of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, passed away on April 9th, 2025, at the age of 62, surrounded by loved ones.

Tim lived in Harleysville for over 21 years, formerly spending most of his life in Norristown. Tim was proud of his roots and came from a big, lively Irish Catholic family. He carried that same spirit with him throughout his life. Family, faith, and home were everything to him. Whether it was sharing a story, cracking a joke, or just being present, Tim had a natural way of bringing people together. He was the life of every party and the friendly neighbor everyone knew, the guy always outside, striking up conversations and making people feel welcome.

Tim was retired for the past 4 years, but previously dedicated his career to the trades, spending most of his career at Norristown Area School District. He took great pride in his work, especially his passion for HVAC, and was always willing to lend a hand or share his knowledge. To Tim, working with your hands was honorable and he lived that value every day.

But his greatest accomplishment, without a doubt, was his family. He was head over heels in love with his wife, Karen (Geiser) Orner, and a devoted father to his two daughters Kelly Orner and Amy Orner. He is also survived by his loving siblings, Kathleen Orner of Norristown, Patricia Orner of Norristown, MaryAnn (Steve) Sciutto of Hatfield, Kenneth (Janice) Orner of Norristown, John (Jane) Orner of Berwyn, and many cherished nieces/nephews, aunts/uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Orner and Eleanor (Grady) Orner, who instilled in him the values of hard work, kindness, and deep love for family.

He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and deep love. His stories, his humor, and his generous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

A memorial luncheon will be held for family and friends to celebrate his life.

Tim was a great friend, a loving husband and father to his beautiful girls. He had an infectious laugh that I can still hear during some of our conversations we had over the years. Our sincerest condolences to Karen, Kelley and Amy as our hearts are broken to hear that Tim had passed away. He will be missed each and every day by those who loved him.

Tim was always a bright spot in any day, always ready to talk, to listen, to laugh, or to make you laugh. The love of his family, wife, and girls was always evident, his pride in them never wavered, and always made a point to mention them fondly to let you know how they were doing. Tim embodied what made a good neighbor, and what makes a neighborhood great.

We're all shocked by his passing and will miss him greatly. While we're only a house away, we wish his beloved our most sincere condolences - Karen, Kelly, and Amy - as well as his siblings, family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances, all of whom are surely reflecting on Tim and their unforgettable interactions with him, life long memories.

Warmest regards, in our hearts and prayers.

Timmy was my cousin and a true friend, and I´ll always hold onto the memories of our phone calls and endless laughs. We could talk for hours, always joking, always catching up, and our emails back-and-forth were just as full of humor and warmth. He had such a caring heart, always asking and genuinely wanting to know how everyone was doing. What stood out most was how deeply he loved his family- he always talked about them with such pride and love. I will miss him dearly!
With love and sympathy,

How blessed and lucky to have had such a great brother and (if possible) an even greater friend! Your time was too short brother and there was so much more I wanted to share with you. Thank you for the laughs and the love. RIP now my Timmy!

My condolences to Karen, Kelly, Amy and all who loved Tim. I always enjoyed our conversations when we both worked in Norristown Area SD. His trivia team at Corpus was the one to beat! Rest in peace, Tim.
