Timothy L. Pesci

Timothy L. Pesci, 72, of Freeport, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, peacefully, at his home. Tim was born June 26, 1944, in Natrona Heights a son of the late Catherine (Schad) and Joseph G. Pesci. Tim was a 1962 graduate of Freeport High School. He enlisted in the Air Force and served as a general's aide during the Vietnam War. Tim had been the Armstrong County Controller for 20 years. Tim ran and was elected to the PA House of Representatives. He was the 60th district State Representative for 11 years. Tim was an avid golfer. He was a member of the Freeport Eagles and the Freeport VFW. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and traveling to Ohio and Arizona to visit family. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Freeport. Tim is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Judith "Judy" (Blackburn) Pesci; four daughters, Lori (Joseph Barber) Pesci, of Poland, Ohio, Becca (Sean) Ferrier, of Poland, Ohio, Kelley Rykaceski-Smith, of Phoenix, Ariz. and Shannon (Kevin) Huth, of Surfside Beach, S.C. Tim is also survived by his grandchildren; Jena Miller, Jessica (Tom) Kelly and Joshua Luchesa; two sisters, Mary Donnelly, of Philadelphia, and Carol Ann Hess, of Lower Burrell; and his two brothers, William Pesci, of Indianapolis, Ind. and James Pesci, of Freeport. Tim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph Pesci.
At Tim's request, there will be no public visitation. A private family funeral service will be held and Tim will be buried with his parents in the Freeport Cemetery.
