It´s been 18 years and it hasn´t been until the last few years that I realize I buried my grief when you passed, even though I was only 16.
I remember everyone gathered `round saying goodbye, the room was filled with all the love you gave and all the love for you, I held your hand after you left.
We all said something privately, and I remember I wanted to make sure I remembered as much as I could of everything you did for me, and everything you taught me. I wanted you to know that I saw it, that I appreciated it, and you and who you were and who you were to me, and that I saw who you were and tried to be to others.
You were like a father to me, you were my Grandpa, my best friend.
You were the one solid person, you changed my life for the better, and it carries on to this day.
You taught to me to ski, took me on long bike rides, camping, I caught my first (and only! ) fish at Loon lake with you and Uncle Pat and my cousins, you took me to Family Gatherings especially Christmas I remember a few years at Uncle Pat´s. You took me in and cared for me, you were stern, funny, patient., adventurous, intelligent, kind, curious, strong, and everything a human strives to be, you truly did live life to the fullest.
I could say a million and one more things but mostly I love you Grandpa aka Tiger Tim!

It is eight years today that our beloved Tim passed from our sight but not our minds. He lives on in our memories as we remember his love and nurturing through the years. He taught us, loved us and put up with our frailties because he knew those individual failings were not the real person. His memory sustains me no matter how many years pass.
Cheers, Tim!
Love from your wife Rita.

I can't believe it's been almost 8 years. Why is it that only when you get older that you truly appreciate what a super great dad you were to all of us. You sacrificed so much to give us a well rounded upbringing as well as explore so much. I am so very proud of you and miss you dearly.

Dear Rita and family,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Tim. I had the pleasure of riding with him during Big Ride 2000. Tim loved taking roadside naps on the long days... and still... he managed to beat me into camp. He will be missed.

Dear Rita,
I am truly sorry to hear of your loss.
My thoughts go out to an inspirational man and I am saddened to hear we have lost 1/4 of the Big Ride's Team Canada. I was proud to ride into camp, late into the day, with him and be among his company (and a proud team mate).
My thoughts go out to you during this time,
much love to you.

Rita: Tim was an inspiration to me when we went on our Randonnee rides together. I keep thinking when I'm his age I hope I can do such physcially demanding activities. He had a great sense of humour and was a hoot to spend time with. I have many fond memories of Tim especially his joy of living. One of his lines that I often use when I have to stop and walk when riding my bike up a hill is that I'm exercising a different set of muscles.

I had the great opportunity to meet Tim on the Big Ride Across America in 2000. He was a special person -- always quick with a smile and joke -- who made us all smile and reminded us daily of the value of enjoying the moment.

Because I was unable to attend the service for our friend Tim, I would like to take just a moment to tell of my thoughts about him.
When I informed members of my family about his passing, the number one comment was, “Tim was a swell guy, everyone liked him.” That made me feel good because that is exactly how I would describe my friend Tim. He was a nice guy.
My deepest sympathy goes out to my niece Rita, and all I can say is, “Rita, your Tim was truly a nice guy and liked by everybody.
Goodbye Tim,

In my training ride last week, I thought of Tim and remembered him with fondness. May the Lord bless you and keep you in this time of sadness. All the best, Clem Work

We are shocked and sorry to hear the news. We'll always remember Tim's joy at tapdancing and the wonderful performance he gave doing Rock Around The Clock. We were hoping you'd both join us this September at our tapdance classes with Pat Wells.
