Timothy P. Straka Sr.

Timothy P. Straka Sr., 50, of Greensburg, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, in Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born Dec. 29, 1958, in Greensburg, the son of Jane (Rebosky) Straka, of Greensburg, and the late Andrew B. Straka Jr. He had been president and owner of the Giacomo Matteotti Club of Greensburg. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, and the Fox Hill Club. He was a graduate of Jeannette High School, attended the University of Mississippi, and graduated from Slippery Rock University. Tim spent endless hours enjoying and spoiling his adoring children. He was proud of their achievements and enjoyed watching them participate in sports events. He enjoyed his "best buddy" Snowball. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrew B. and Marie (Poloskey) Straka; and maternal grandparents, Michael and Alma (Hays) Rebosky. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Theresa Renee (Frye) Straka; two sons, Timothy P. Straka Jr. and Tyler S. Straka, and a daughter, Taylor Renee Straka, all at home; and several loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
