Timothy Ungerman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 14, 2025.
Tim Ungerman, 44, of Bloomington, Minnesota, passed away on September 10, 2025, at 2:55 p.m. Serendipitously, as he left this world, chimes rang through the hospital announcing a new birth.

Tim was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Janice and James Ungerman. He grew up in Bloomington with his brother, Tom, with whom he shared a close and cherished bond. A proud graduate of Bloomington Jefferson High School, Class of 1999, Tim went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in applied economics from the University of Minnesota.

On August 3, 2013, Tim married Tena Louise Fagerland, and together they were blessed with two children, Ethan James and Ellen Marie.

Known for his fun-loving and social nature, Tim brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone around him. He had a lifelong passion for sports-especially skiing, baseball, and golf-and treasured the time spent both playing and watching them with family and friends. Tim was also a gifted artist, and his vibrant paintings stand as a testament to his creativity and spirit.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Carl Ungerman.

Tim is survived by his children, Ethan and Ellen; his mother, Janice Ungerman; his brother, Tom (Hannah); his nieces, Nora and Claire; his former wife, Tena; and many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

A service to honor and celebrate Tim's life will be held on Monday, September 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2060 County Road 6, Long Lake, MN (10 AM Visitation).
