Todd Holden Obituary
SOUTH FREEPORT - Todd David Holden, 56, of South Freeport passed away Monday Jan. 16, 2017 at Central Maine Medical Center, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Todd was born in Rumford, Nov. 21, 1960, the son of proud parents David and Virginia Holden.
Todd was a graduate of Cheverus High School class of 1979, after graduating high school he continued his education at both The University of Maine Orono and The University of Southern Maine.
Todd was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce serving from 1983 to 1986, in which most of his time served, he was stationed in Germany with his wife Sharon and their two sons. After returning to Maine he spent many years working for the United States Postal Service.
Todd was a diehard New England Patriots fan and, anyone that knew Todd, knew he had a huge passion and love for any and all animals; more importantly he was a wonderful father to his two sons, and will be truly missed by all.
Todd was predeceased by his father David Holden; and sister Jill Holden. Todd is survived by his mother, Virginia Holden; wife, Sharon Holden; son Jason Holden and wife Janice, son Ryan Holden; sister Patricia Pain and husband Claude, brother Bradford Holden and wife Diane, brother Matthew Holden and fiancée Candy; as well as nieces and nephews, Robin, Justin, Larissa, Daniel, Andrew and Lianna.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, 1 p.m. at the South Freeport Congregational Church, 98 South Freeport Rd., S. Freeport. Followed by a celebration of Todd's life in the Vestry at the church.

Remember playing pool in the family room when With Todd, listening to the Grassroots and Steppenwolf. Growing up in south Freeport in those days was about as good as it got. So sorry to hear of Todd's parting from this world. Our condolences to his family and friends.

Growing up in South Freeport is like a dream. I remember that my brother Mark and Todd were friends, and that Todd loved animals - including his golden retriever, Trevie (sp?). My deepest condolences for your loss. Say Todd's name every day as if he is there - this will keep the memories alive and vibrant. He will always be with you in your hearts. May you find peace and comfort in your family and friends.

Aunt Ginny, Sharon, Jason, Ryan and all the family.....I am so very sorry. My deepest sympathies and I'm thinking of all of you. Fondly remembering those days decades ago at 122 Main Street when all of us cousins would be running around the house, driving Pop crazy and just generally having an awesome time together. Todd... so many great and truly fond memories of those tender years when we are all a bit silly....I remember the first time you were telling me about Sharon.. you were soooo excited you had met "The One!!" I'm sure you are in heaven ordering an "uncut pizza" - till we meet again.
