Todd Price Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 25, 2025.
Todd Price, born on November 17, 1974, in Southfield, Michigan, passed away on September 6, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan. He was 50 years old.

A proud graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree, Todd built a distinguished career rooted in innovation and dedication. He spent over 18 years at Detroit Diesel-precisely 18 years and one day-where his work earned him a U.S. Patent, a testament to his ingenuity and commitment to excellence. He later brought his talents to Aptiv Connected Services, where he continued to make meaningful contributions in the field of automotive technology.

Todd's professional accomplishments were matched by his deep involvement in his faith community. As an active member of Redford Aldersgate United Methodist Church, he served faithfully as a Lay Leader and Council Chair and held several other leadership roles within the Michigan Methodist Council. His service reflected his generous spirit and unwavering desire to help others.

Todd was known for his sharp intellect and insatiable curiosity. He loved learning and was always eager to explore new ideas or dive into complex problems-often reminding those around him with his favorite motto: "Work the problem." Whether it was through reading, engaging in spirited poker games, or traveling to new places, Todd approached life with enthusiasm and thoughtfulness.

He also had a refined appreciation for bourbon, scotch, and whiskey tasting-a hobby he pursued with both joy and discernment. But beyond all else, Todd will be remembered for the warmth he brought into every room. He gave the best hugs-genuine embraces that conveyed comfort and care-and he had an uncanny ability to answer even the most improbable questions with clarity and insight.

Todd is lovingly remembered by his beautiful wife Erica and their two daughters, Alina and Violet. His legacy lives on through them and through all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was predeceased by Susan Price and Louis Price.

May Todd's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life lived with purpose, compassion, and heart.
