In memory of
Christopher Hrebenak
August 4, 2003
Todd was my very first and closest friend growing up in Towaco. We were the best of friends and although we had drifted apart after highschool my memories of our childhood together will never fade. I cannot express how sorry I am to hear of your loss. May God Bless All of Todd's Loved Ones.

To the family of Todd:
I am one of Todd's oldest friends. I grew up with him in Towaco, you may remember me. I am so very sad that this tragedy happened. I had lost touch with him, but he was thought of often. We shared many laughs together and I will keep that close to my heart!! My God Bless all of you and keep you in his care. My deepest sympathy!!

Some of my favorite childhood memories are those I have from the time I spent in Towaco at my Uncle Bob and Aunt Chris’s house. The holidays always seemed so wonderful, with the women busy in the kitchen preparing the meal, the men in the living room chatting and watching sports and all of us kids, cousins, playing in the rumpus room below. I remember going there in the summertime, swimming in the pool and exploring the woods behind the house. Todd, Marc, Robert, Owen and I would run through the brush, play tag and hunt frogs. We were carefree then.
When we moved to California in 1974 it was not so much my friends that I missed, it was my family. And some how I knew things would never be the same, the sense of family, belonging and being together - the bonds that held us together would not stretch over the miles.
One year probably 20 years ago, Todd came out and stayed with us for a week or so. I remember he was so excited. One thing he really wanted to do was go out and hunt snakes and spiders. We took him to the desert and were successful in his pursuit. He went home to NJ with a couple of tarantulas and a rattlesnake in his baggage, much to my Aunt Chris’s dismay.
It’s sad that we grew so distant, live’s change and bonds forgotten. I’m sorry we lost contact and that I have never met Sonya and the children and I’m sorry I will never know Todd as a man.
