Funeral Services for Tom Cheatham, age 77 of Lindale, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home Chapel in Lindale, TX with Bro. Walter Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Barber Cemetery in Starrville, TX under the direction of Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home. Tom passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home in Lindale. He was born May 12, 1940 in Manila, Arkansas to the late Willie and Pearl (Gifford) Cheatham. During his 50 years in the Lindale area he loved ranching, coaching both T-Ball and Little League baseball, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lindale. He was retired after 30 years of service with Kelly Springfield in Tyler, TX. Tom is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lila Cheatham of Lindale, TX; sons, Ricky Cheatham and wife, Karen of St. Louis, MO, Ted Cheatham and wife, Lyn of Lindale, TX, Tony Cheatham and wife, Aivy of Lindale, TX; brothers, Calvin Arnold and Ronnie Cheatham; sisters, Jean Burkett, Annie Simpson, Betty Jones, Virginia Wright, Betty Grubbs, Shirley McIntyre, and Teressa Harris; grandchildren, Amy Adams, Jared Cheatham, Alyssa Cecotti, Christian Cheatham, Tevin Tucker, Garric Cheatham, Caden Cheatham, and Cody Cheatham; great grandchildren, Isaiah Cecotti, Braden Cecotti, and Quinn Cecotti; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by, step-mother, Edna Cheatham; Brothers, Jack, Johnny, and Boyce Ray Cheatham; sisters, Margie Denton and Mary Griffin; and a grandchild, Madison Hope Cecotti. Pallbearers will include, Samuel Francis, Ronnie Riggs, Clay Riggs, Christian Cheatham, Jared Cheatham, and Kevin Cook. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale, TX. The Cheatham family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of East Texas.
