Tom was a leader of leaders. His vision to develop the Houstonian complex was and is one of his major gifts to all of us. Many people today have a better health and living longer because of his leadership.

Tom was a pivotal figure in Houston's history. He and my late husband, Jack Grayson, side by side envisioned what is now The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa and the APQC. Jack treasured Tom's friendship and shared his enthusiasm for life and for making things happen.

I am saddened by his loss and send my warm wishes to his family and many friends.

The Hoover and Rotan families send love and prayers to all Fatjos over the loss of Tom. He was a wonderful man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Tom loved his family and was an innovative businessman. I remember the early days of BFI when my dad worked with Tom. It was an exciting time for them. I also remember the start of the Houstonian Club, and whenTommy held Lee parties in the parking garagegood times .

Dear Shawnna and family, You are in my prayers. You are my dear, dear cousin, Shawnna. When you married Tom you increased our family with many precious additional family members. I am grateful for each one of them and especially Tom. Tom has treated Robert and me like family. He has shared his wisdom about life in general and business in particular. We will miss him and remember the gifts of not only wisdom but also fun at the ranch. We love you and the family that you and Tom nurtured and shared with us. Blessings, Patti and Robert Ransone
