To Tom's family
I only learned today of Tom's death. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.
I was lucky to co-drive with Tom the Rothman's Mustang in the 1981 Molyslip cross-Canada Endurance Series.
He was quite a driver and a character. I enjoyed knowing him.

My heartfelt condolences to Tom's entire family, especially to his incredible partner Shirley and to his brother John. It is hard to believe that such an animated soul is gone but I believe he has merely taken a head start on a new track where he is undoubtedly teaching others about effectively engaging with the human race. We rallied together right across this country and even under the most adverse conditions possible he never entertained the remote concept of 'quit' like so many others. And thanks to his enthusiastic encouragement, he was the principal reason we came to hold the local land speed record of 211mph in a McLaren Mark III on the TBay ByPass. That was Tom: always ready to breath some 'Thunder' into our hometown! Rest in Peace.

I remember Tom knocking on my door sometime in the late 1970's. He was driving a Lamborghini and wanted to show me what it was like to drive 180 miles an hour. My wife would not let me out the door. I only knew tom for 4 years but he remains the most unforgettable man I have ever met. I hope someone writes his autobiography.

We would like to extend to Toms Family how Sad we were to hear of his passing. Tom and Shirley were good friends who we spent much time with here in California. You always knew there would be Great laughs when Tom would start to tell a Story! Then meeting his Children and Grandchildren you saw the Love continue . I´m sure GOD needed some laughter and called Tom Home. Will keep The Family in are prayers. Please know his Gifts of making others feel they matter and seeing everyone he dealt with as equal was what really MADE him TOM. Your Friends always Peggy and Jimmy Pappin
