Tom Lehrer

Tom was one of the greatest musicians and comedians to have ever lived. Thank you for your brilliant mind as well as the sacrifice you made by serving in the United States Army.

I knew it was unlikely and such, but I'd always harbored a vague hope of getting to talk to him.
A great man who shall be greatly missed.

Growing up, a neighbor turned me on to Mr. Lehrer's music. To this day, I've never heard anything like. Who could forget the Vatican Rag?

Discovered Tom Lehrer a year ago. Since then, I've never stopped loving his songs, sense of humor, and clever wit. I still put his songs on repeat while studying for exams. I hoped one day I would be able to visit him in person, but I was too late. But thanks Mr. Lehrer for helping me pass those exams. Rest in peace, you still are a legend.

As has been written by others, my father (also a mathematician) played Mr. Lehrer's That Was The Year That Was album when my brother and I were both pre-teens. We giggled because Pop laughed heartily but now I laugh just as hard as he did and still remember the words. Thanks Mr. Lehrer and godspeed.

Mr.Lehrer has been a big part of my life. I regret I never got to meet him in person. This world is now a little sadder knowing he is gone.

My Dad brought his record and played it for us in the 50´s! We thought it was hilarious! All of my siblings, now in our 70´s can still repeat his hilarious lyrics !
We are saddened at his passing! What a talented guy!

My Dad introduced the family to Tom Lehrer. We were still kids but loved his songs then and still do to this day. I still share them with friends. His legacy goes on.

Tom was a good song 60s and 50s all music all my Belgrade songs in piano in songs. In history, rest in peace tom.

Tom Lehrer was my councelor at a summer camp in Wayne, Maine in the mid-1950's (Camp Androscoggin Junior). He was such a great counselor.
He would serenade five of us every day. Even at a young age I laughed myself silly. Looking back, I realize today how brilliant he was. I am sure that he will be missed! Robert Allyn Goldman
