Love listening to your music. So sorry you are no longer with us. So glad I got to your concert in July 2016 to see you perform. Sympathies to the family.

There have only been two celebrities that I wish I could have met in my lifetime, and Tom Petty was one of them. It's taken me this long to even work up the nerve to leave a message here. Tom Petty was one of the most original and talented artists that I've ever been aware of. His presence is missed. This world is just not the same anymore. RIP

Grief can be so hard, and our feelings simply do not dissipate over time. Hold special memories memories close to your heart, as they will help you through the years. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Left a message here when you passed, never looked again coz it was too sad. You've been in my thoughts the past few days, so came here to finally read some of the many beautiful remembrances about you. I didn't see the one I left, so here it is again ~

God bless you and keep you in his care. Even though his death is not fresh , your grief is. We were fortunate to be his first stop in OKC on his last tour. Seats on the eighth row, with our bad backs due to age , we stood up and sang and danced the whole time. He had a warmth, charm and wit that matched his musical ability. His CDs were the soundtrack to our many car trips. I have the tee shirt with the tour on back and extras for being in VIP section. It has taken us awhile to listen to his music because of our own feeling of personal loss. Im sure you know how much he was loved by the world.

So Many Memories of you & your music. I was never fortunate enough to ever see you perform, but I was a true fan from the beginning. RIP

It's been one year since we got the horrible news that Tom died and my world of music came crashing down. Listening to Tom on his XM station opened my world to an even broader range of music that I listen to every single day. Thank you Tom from one of your biggest super fans. I haven't forgotten that day, how I felt the loss, & still do. I grew up with his music & adored his long blonde hair personally thinking he was a kind of sultry sexy. I hope his family & friends have found some healing but I know there is definitely no time limit on grief. RIP TP your music lives on in our hearts & always will. Tom Petty made beautiful music. He was my first concert. I remember being the youngest one there. I've put southern accents on loop for the past 8 hours. We miss you.

I've been listening to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers since 1978. I truly love his music and his appreciation of all his fans. I continue to play his music all the time. He was a big influence of not only the music I listen to as well as my life. I will keep you, your stepdaughters, son, family and Tom's bandmates in my thoughts and prayers.
