A couple of months ago I mentioned all the wonderful things people were saying about Tom on his Caring Bridge site. He seemed surprised that he had such an impact on so many people and said he always thought of himself as "ordinary". Well my friend, you were the only one that thought that. I will miss you.

I was privileged to take of Tom's teeth at Tonka Smiles for a number of years. I always enjoyed seeing him and had nice visits with him. I will miss seeing him in the office.

I worked with Tom on various UHG assignments over the years. Learning of Tom's passing shocked me, as did learning that a friend of mine just passed on Dec. 4, for the same reason. Rest in peace Tom.

Hi Melanie:
I will miss Tom greatly. He and I both had chronic illnesses and also worked together so we talked alot about our respective challenges for the last three years. I therefore knew his situation up close and personal. I consider his last days with us and his journey to the ever-after to be full of grace. I am very touched by knowing Tom.

These are such difficult times and I want you to know I am praying for you and your family. Something that helped me when my father passed way so early in life, was to focus on all the wonderful memories we had created over the years and hold those dear to my heart, especially the funny ones. Tom and I had many laughs at Dataserv while working first in New Hope and then going on to several other facilities. He was a fabulous guy and a delight to work with. Melanie, you have been a devoted wife during Toms battle with this horrible disease. God bless and know that Tom is watching over you and your children in the years ahead.
