Life Reflection
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10
Tommie “Larry” Gadson was born in Kingstree, South Carolina on Thursday, March 29, 1956 to the late Anna Mae McClary Gadson and Louis Gadson III. He peacefully entered in eternal rest on Thursday, May 5, 2022 in Kingstree, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Gadson.
Larry was a graduate of Kingstree Senior High School, class of 1974. He enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and dedicated years of honorable service. In his spare time, he loved spending time with family, fishing, and spending Sundays watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Always living his life to the fullest, he was a devoted father, uncle, brother, and friend to all. His many words of wisdom will forever live in our hearts and memories.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his daughter, Megan Bianca Gadson: his grandson, Channing Jacoby Dupree; his siblings; Geneva Gadson, Peggy Gadson, Tammy Mobley, and Darin Gadson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
His many words of wisdom will forever live in our hearts and memories. Please enjoy some of “L-Boogie’s” famous sayings.
“Make me look good, don’t make me look bad.”
“Welfare for Warfare.”
“Don’t mix your grits with your groceries.”
“Show your wrong, show your right.”
“I don’t feed no horse I can’t ride.”
“If you don’t like your job quit.”
“Don’t talk about work round me.”
“If you show out you get worked out.”
“That’s why I get a check!”
“If something happens to you who gone take care of me?”
“Do your job!”
