Old hawk eyes, Great guy. I was in one of his classes at Pleasure Ridge Park. He would show old basketball movies and be the commentator on Fridays sometimes. RIP

Ms. Finnegan & Tess:
Mr. Finnegan was the single best coach I ever played under. He was both a friend and a coach and that you do not find in a lot of coaches. I was sorry to hear of his passing, I was out of town when I heard.
He was a great man and he is in a better place now. I prayers are with you in this troubled time.

Mrs. Finnegan and Tess,
I am so very sorry to have heard about Coach Finnegan, you may remember me I would see you and coach Finnegan at St. Louis Bertrand. I would always make it a point to say hello and ask him if he remembered me and he would answer of course Kelly how are you. We spent four years together that will always have a special place in my heart. May God keep and bless you.

Coach Finnegan was a teacher of mine at Pleasure Ridge. He was one of my all time favorite teachers. My senior year I put him in my favorite memories and I remember when he signed my year book he expressed how much that meant to him. He was so humble that he didn't even realize how he touched so many of his students hearts. I am so sorry to hear of this wonderful mans passing but I am sure he is in heaven running a basketball program for the lord.My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I feel very fortunate that I crossed paths with him .

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Coach Finny. I played at Indiana University Southeast for Coach Jim Morris while Coach Finnegan was an assistant for my first two seasons. I always loved his enthusiasm for the game of basketball and for life. Coach and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I graduated from Moore in 1984 and watched Coach Finn perform his magic on the sidelines while I was in the band. He had a great sense of humor, a passion for the game of basketball, and love for his students. My friends and I still quote him from time to time. He used to keep us all in line in the locker room before the bell rang by saying, "step across the line... you're burned". Of course no-one was ever "burned", but it was quite effective (and funny). We will miss him.

I remember the Finnegan's when they lived in Jasper, Indiana. Jack and I were classmates at St. Joseph's and played sports together. I remember Tommy as the tag along with Jack. I also remember Mary hanging out at her uncle Casper's drug store. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Family of Coach Tom Finnegan
I had the previlege of coaching with and being very good friends with Tom at Flaget High in 1966 and 1967.It is shocking to know that a person with his vigor would leave this world so early-but I guess the lord must have known about the good of this person and recruited Tommy into heaven. Thanks for being in my wedding-I will never forget you- and you will always be in my prayers!!!!!
