I am so, so sorry for the loss of your dear son. I know the pain and loss you feel is relentless as we too lost our only son Alex just over a year ago...he too was only 18. I pray that God will send his angels to comfort your broken hearts and be with each of you through the despair of time to come. It makes no sense to our hearts to bury our children but know the tears you shed are equal to the amazing love you have for him and they will be never-ending. I learned that we only have two choices when losing a child...despair or God...the first will bring you only loneliness, heartache, anger, resentment and hopelessness...the latter will give you grace in your moments of extreme pain, that of which you have never felt before. I pray that he will guide you through the cruelty of your lonely journey...that you will find peace at some point and know that Tommy is at rest with Christ. We never recover from the loss of our children but are forever changed and must integrate into their loss. Tommy lies in rest not far from our Alex in Aledo Brown Cemetery. Please know you are not alone in your pain and know that you have our prayers and our deepest and most sincere condolences. May God bless you.

I know from experience that there is nothing that can be said to comfort us. Tommy was a beautiful young man with a kind heart and so much love for his family. He became this fine young man through the love that he recieved from his family and friends. His beautiful smile and warm heart left a lasting impression wherever he went, whomever he encountered. He found unconditional love in the hearts of his family, a love that will never fade, never diminish as we shall all keep him in our hearts forever.

My heart aches for you and what you are going through. I wish you peace.

Lacey, Bo, T.A., and the "Brothers",
Your words were so beautiful at the service. Thank you all for being so courageous to speak about our boy. I can't tell you how much it helped all of us to hear you tell your stories.
We all have stories too, but you did what most of us could'nt do. Thanks, and we will remember all our stories for the rest of our lives.
Godspeed, Tommy.
Love,
Barbara Black

Tommy,
I told your mother how much I hate the word "was." I will never refer to you in the past tense and know in my heart you'll be pitching to me again when it's my time to come home. Until that day bud, every time I pick up a glove, or hit the gym, I will think of you. I'm going to miss you so much. You have always been more of a little brother to me than a cousin.
I love you so much.

Terry, Rhonda, Lacey, June, and the Reed boys, and their families,
Words are just words, and we have none to express what we are feeling for you. All we can do is remember those beautiful days with our Tommy.
When Coleman was 5 yrs.old, remember that we had to tell him to just "Leave the baby alone", he wanted to hold him and play with him. Then as they grew, their age difference didn't seem to matter. They played, swam, and talked baseball.
Please know how much we love you and hope you find solace in the memories you and all of us have of that most special boy.
We are right here.
Love,
Steve, Barbara and Coleman Black

Terry, Rhonda, Lacey and family-
Our hearts and prayers go out to you. When we got the bad news, our hearts fell to the ground like if it was one of our own kids. Tommy has been around our family for a very long time, and we are going to miss his smiling face dearly. Tommy and Trey had a lot of good times riding their motorcycles, and hanging out over the years. Now-Trey has a lot of good memories.
HE WAS ONE GREAT KID THAT YOU SHOULD BE REALLY PROUD OF, AND WE ARE GOING TO MISS HIM.
We will continue to pray for all of you.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family in hopes you can find some kind of comfort in the wonderful memories you have of Tommy. Just try to keep in mind that one day you will be with him for eternity. Our hearts go out to you...
