Tommy Ruger

Thank you all for sharing your love and remembrances of Tommy. He was everything you have said and more. I have just today read the obituary as it begins to truly sink in, but am blessed to know that he lives on in our recollections of such a special time and place. Tommy enriched my life with his love, his laughter and his music and I am certain that our dance, which began in the mid-sixties, will one day pick up where it left off. I love you, Tomo.

Just heard of Tommy's passing....we had a lot of fun in the Mainland HS band....and I actually helped him as a back stage hand with his drums when he was with the "Nightcrawlers." Tommy was so much fun to be around...at school and after school....Prayers with the family now!

A good friend and a nice man. Very talented, he will be missed.

Gonna miss you buddy, you always gave me compliments in my early years of Sound Production and when we worked together at Flagler Printers. Because of you I care a lot about how a musician/entertainer sounds on stage. R.I.P. My Friend.

Godspeed Tommy Ruger

Just heard of Tommy's passing. Knew him from his Flagler Beach days. One of the nicest people I ever had the pleasure of knowing, we shared some good times and a lot of music. In the groove forever!!!

Tommy was part of Daytona's musical legacy. From garage band to national recording act his musical chops will live on forever in his recordings. I had the good fortune to buy his champagne sparkle Slingerland drums he had with the Nightcrawlers when he left for 'Nam and have always kept them. Now they mean even more. Tommy loved music and we loved Tommy. There's one hell of a jam session going on in Heaven now!

Sorry to hear of the passing of Tommy Ruger, living here in Daytona in the 60s was for all of us great memories. We are all still living here and loving Daytona Beach. Heaven just gained a big heart in you. Christine Simpson

Tommy was a great and solid drummer and just as great and solid a friend. He was there for me at a difficult time in my life and I'll never forget his generosity of spirit and essential goodness. God bless and keep thee, Tommy.

I remember Tommy from school. He graduated the year before me and he and the Nightcrawlers performed at our graduation dance. He will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

So sorry to hear about Tommy... I remember him well and his band the Nightcrawlers. Those were the days! May you find peace as you remember the good times spent together.

I knew Tommy from the old Martinique days in the late '60's. He was always a kind and thoughtful man, never forgetting of brief encounters over the years since. Godspeed, Thomas!
