I am so broken hearted to hear about Tommy. He was a special part of my life growing up together in Central Park. There are so many memories I will cherish of the times we spent together. Tommy was like a brother to me . Thru the years, he always came by after each one of my three babies were born to meet them. My prayers are with you Ms Mary and each of his brothers and his Houston family for God to give you all His peace and comfort. I'm sorry I wasn't able to come down to say goodbye. That broke my heart as well. Tommy was a precious encouraging friend to everyone and kept us laughing on facebook with his humorous stories. Thanks to everyone who shared their memories on his facebook page. We will miss you Tommy!

Tommy Sands was one of the sharpest, most skilled, and funniest people I have ever worked with. DXP has dozens of people who only know their jobs because of Tommy's efforts. If there was a problem, Tommy was the guy who could fix it. He didn't suffer fools, because he knew it all and didn't have time to baby anyone. But he was also one of the best trainers I've ever seen. So much of our success is owed to Tommy. It will absolutely not be the same without him.

Life is hard. You just don't realize what someone means to you or to the community until you lose them. Tommy threw some great parties and we loved him for sharing but he was also responsible to show us all how to care for animals and each other. He had a big heart and a big smile and we will all miss him very much!
