Dear Campolo Family, Back in the spring of 1982, I had gotten to hear Dr Campolo preach at Wm. Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa. His messages were powerful and informative. Everyone there found his stories entertaining as well. My condolences to all of you for his passing. Dr Campolo is now enjoying his Heavenly rewards. Praise God! After Good Friday service at our church, I said to our choir director, "it´s Friday, but Sunday´s coming!" And he immediately knew what I meant... Tony really knew how to spread the joy of the gift of Easter! Grateful for that gift for him this year, especially!

Creation festival 1996. He gave the message on the main stage and said that if I was the only person to ever live Christ would have still died for me. I decided I needed to respond to that call and that is when I became a Christian.

RIP Dear Uncle Tony! Uncle Tony was actually my cousin, but like most Italian families everyone's your Aunt or Uncle. Uncle Tony's mom, Mary and my dad Nick were brother and sister, Aunt Mary the oldest, my dad the youngest. So my memories are rich as they are from my youth. A favorite memory of Uncle Tony, Aunt Peggy, my dad, my mom, (Dee), Aunt Rose, Uncle Kent, Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob and of course all us kids, was when we got together we always sang together. Uncle Tony loved to sing, Jada, Jada, Jada Jada Jada Jing, Jing jing". I found myself singing it the other day while making pizza and imagining the old gang together again, all singing, laughing, eating, like in the good old days. I cherish those memories with my dear Uncle Tony. Prayers to Bart, Lisa, and Aunt Peggy.
Love, cousin Dee Dee Riccardo-Hirnickel and family, Aunt Dee Riccardo, Tina Riccardo-Adams and Nancy Riccardo-Dugan and family.

Dr. Campolo spoke before a mixed audience of 100's successful business people in the Twin Cities on October 2, 2002. As was true of Tony's Holy Spirit given ability to captivate an audience, many embraced the free gift of God in Jesus Christ that morning. The transformational message was rooted in the sociological study of 95-year olds who were asked...if they could live their lives all over, what might they do differently?! The responses, as Tony analyzed, rallied around 3 themes...he said, most would do much of their lives the same, BUT, they would do three things with greater care: 1) RISK more 2) REFLECT more and 3) DO MORE things that would live on long after were gone! Praising God for Tony's message and storytelling that morning...Now at 62, I have certainly dared to risk more (in a caring and calculating way in God's pleasure); reflected more in a disciplined manner of gratefulness ; and, finally, I want to become less and Jesus becomes greater in my life (John 3:30-36). As Tony's rest in peace, may his legacy of "RED LETTER", Jesus loving habits bear much more fruit in the world he leaves behind. Peace to the Campolo family in incomprehensible forms!!

I first heard Tony speak at Bel Air Presbyterian Church in California. He had a tremendous sense of humor and presented the gospel in ways. I had never heard before. I was lucky enough to meet him as part of an urban ministry group I belonged to at the time. I will never forget all his fabulous teachings nor The impression he made on my spiritual journey. He made me want to go out and do things that meant something in life. All my love, blessings and prayers for his family. I know he will be missed.

I saw Tony at First Baptist Church of Glendarden in Maryland. His charismas and love of the Lord shone through. He had a wonderful sense of humor. I bought his book Let Me Tell You a Story. It is easily in the top 3 books. He has a special place in my heart.
