Tony Hallam

I knew Tony when I joined the Department of Earth Science at the University of Birmingham in 2007. I am from Nigeria and his knowledge of the history and political events in Nigeria and Africa was great. He probably knew a lot about Nigeria that I did not know! Back in those days I usually look forward to discussing topical issues about Nigeria and Africa during the daily coffee time at 11am in the Coffee Room (G24). Rest in peace Tony!
