Tony Wagner Obituary

In Loving Memory of Tony Duncan Wagner

Tony Duncan Wagner was born in San Antonio, Texas, in May of 1996 and left this world far too soon in November of 2024. Known to loved ones as Carol-Marie in childhood, Tony embarked on a courageous journey of self-discovery and, in time, embraced his true identity with pride. His transformation into Tony was one that he loved deeply, and it illuminated his unique strength and authenticity.

Those who were blessed to know Tony will remember him for his kindness, compassion, and an exceptional heart that he shared freely with others. Tony had a rare gift for making people feel seen and understood, nurturing deep, genuine connections that enriched the lives of those he befriended. His warm spirit was a balm to many.

At the time of his passing, Tony was pursuing his Master's Degree in Psychology, a field that resonated with his innate empathy and commitment to helping others. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and understanding-a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Tony was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Jennifer Wagner, maternal grandmother Carol Schiffrin and his cousin, Patrick Wagner, with whom he shared many great adventures. He is survived by his furbaby Kira, his father and stepmother, Zack and Tracy Wagner; his brothers, Eric Wagner and Zachary Wagner; and sisters Chloe Wagner, and Kelsey (Nick) Rada. His memory will also be treasured by his grandparents, Pat Luedecke and Lou (Judi) Wagner. Tony was also blessed to have a very close relationship with his loving aunt and uncle, Jennifer and Tommy Kyler, and his cousins, Kate (Gilbert) Torres, Lindy Kyler, Cece (Lake) Dvorak and Kristin (Derek) Nelligan.

To honor Tony's life and the joy he brought to the world, memorial services will be held in both San Antonio, TX and Omaha, NE. Friends have organized a memorial service in Omaha, NE at Haven150 from 11am-1pm on December 15th. The address is 12370 S 150th St. Omaha, NE

The San Antonio service details will be added when they are available.

His family and friends are grateful for every moment they shared with him and will carry his spirit with them always.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Stop the Addiction Fatality Epidemic (SAFE) Project US. https://safeproject.us

We didn´t know each other too well, but Tony was always so nice to me when I worked with him. It´s devastating to hear this news. He was the type to include you in things. I wish his family the best and may he rest in peace.

I still watch the video over and over but I´d have to say a time Tony made me laugh was Tony sam and I were at his house and we all were in the front yard playing with Tony´s swords and lightsabers. I hold this memory dear to me. We love you Tony and we will deeply miss you. Fly high
