I never got to meet you.
I regret that.
Rest well, and we'll all meet again one day.

I met Tor long ago and far away. He was a friend of a friend from LiveJournal who lived close by. We met, enjoyed each others company, and even briefly dated! We went to FurtherConfusion a couple of times together and he introduced me to riding on Very Large Motorcycles which lasted all of a summer, but still is a fond memory for me. I'm sad to hear about his passing. Looking at the memories it seems his life was still full of love, family and friends.

Like many I met "Tugrik" online via FM, and then at conventions a few times. My lasting impression was of his overwhelming generosity, he did so much for our community. I only wish I had been able to spend more time with him. My heart goes out to all his family and many friends.

Tor was good friend at time when I was still finding my way in world. He was steady font of laid back humor and wisdom. He will be greatly missed.

Tugrik was a special guy to be around, Always with a quick wit, vast amount of humor, His genius was shocking. Always with a gentle smile and a friendly chat. I fondly remember him once remotely guiding his van out of a parking space to the entrance of the hotel. I was literally dumbfounded how he pulled that off. He also showed me a hilarious and raunchy cartoon on the TV in his van, that a year later would debut as South Park. Many fond memories of him at East Coast cons and raids to White Castles. Plus he hosted my on-line comic strip of 15 years, West Corner of the Park. On Furrymuck he was a'wizard' , and his big blue Monoceros character and he was featured numerous times in my comic strip, mainly as "Park Clean Up Crew" eating annoying foxes and characters. I regret not getting around to draw up a sketch he wanted me to draw up for him. I'm going to miss his gentle soul the most.

He was a light in the dark. We had fun at Burning Man the 3 times I went. He was fun in a large package. I will miss him.

Tori and I got into so many things. Our trip to Japan was epic and full of those travel stories that will stick with you forever. We didn´t get to ride motorcycles together nearly enough. What we did get were more travel stories of long days and epic breakdowns with ingenuity and passion. I wouldn´t be 1/2 the man I am today without him in my life. I´ll miss him greatly!

I have a clear memory about when Tori declared his space in the world: the first complete sentence I heard him say (I do it myself , Dad) while he was teetering on the top step of the slide that was attached to the new swingset in our backyard at Elkhart Indiana.
