Thanks for your positive influence on the sports program at Lockhart High School. You started something that had an affect on teams in the years to come.

To Mimi and the entire Raven family:

How wonderful for you to have shared so many years with our awesome 'Silver Fox'. The last time I saw him was at graduation in '68 but can only imagine the irreplacable void there will be with him not here. Coach Raven made a huge an impact on thousands of kids'lives both on and off the football field. He had that special kind of magic that drew kids to him. For me,I had never been so immersed in the game of football as I was during 65-68 school years nor have I never been since.

Thank you for sharing him with us. We cannot deny his influence on our lives through his continual encouragement to be the very best.

He'll be a legend in our own minds!

Forever a Raider at heart,

I remember Coach Raven from my school days in Lockhart, Tx. He was a wonderful teacher, a talented coach and a gentle man. When I am asked (almost 50 years later) which educators I respected the most, his name is amongst the top of my list.

I was glad I was in the Reagan Band.Travis rode his Raiders pretty hard to whup 'em into the Champions they still are today.I'm glad my inspiration from Coach was less physically induced.I remember a pretty nice guy long after his glory days were fading, and have nothing but respect for Mimi. I have many fond childhood memories spent at Uncle Travis and Aunt Mimi's house. May you seek comfort in the fact he was acknowledged as an accomplished individual and positively impacted numerous lives.

We have many fond memories of Travis and Mimi at Reagan in 1969. It was a great year. We are sorry to hear of your loss and send you our condolences.

My thoughts and prayers go out to

the Travis Raven family. As a

young boy I would sneek over to

House Park in the afternoons after

school at Pease and watch Coach Raven and Tolbert football practices. Later I attended Austin

High and we competed against

Coach Raven and Reagan High. His

record casts a long and positive shadow on Austin athletics and

he was a great influence on many

young people.

The "Silver Fox" will be missed,

but stories of his legend will

live forever.

God's speed Coach.

The Best,

Jim Geary
