Dear Kylee,
Your dad loved you fiercely. He told me before he died that he wished he could be present for your prom and wedding. He said that no father should be denied those moments. Although those memories cannot be made, his spirit lives on in you. His compassion and his desire to be a good friend are ever present. You are a strong, beautiful, and intelligent young woman who will always carry your dad in your heart. There is now a star that shines brighter in the night sky and a guardian angel we both know by name. I send you love and prayers for peace as you move forward each day. Your dad was the little brother that I never had, so I think that makes us family. I am as close as the phone if you ever want to talk. Looking forward to lunch with you when I return to Charlottesville August 4th-6th. Please hug everyone for me...my heart aches with you all.

Dear Tina and Family,
There are no words that do this sadness justice. Take comfort in the care you provided Travis, you made it possible for him to be at home with the ones he loved until the end. The slide show is beautiful and makes me think of him being with his mom. My sympathy goes out to each of you.
