If I may share in the loss that Wendy, Des and your families are feeling at this time... your Dad will be remembered for being a gentle soul with an infectious Irish grin and wicked sense of humour. As an honourary "Owl" with the Oshawa 45th Brownie Pack, he entertained two dozen Brownies at camp one summer - each taking their turn sitting on Santa's knee telling what they wanted for Christmas - all the while Trev sat patiently by the roaring camp fire wearing a plastic Santa suit and beard. "I'm just lucky my suit didn't melt", he told me later. "I'd hate to ruin 'Santa' for them". Trev obliged his family and friends pretty much anything, within reason, that was asked of him. And although he expressed a quiet demeanour most of the time, he was a truly strong man of principles and opinions. He often said, with that twinkle in his eye, that he only let Mary believe that she was in charge. And while it's hard to think of him being gone from us, I know that he is happy to be with his Mary again. "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand." Till we meet again Dear Friend!

Trevor was always one of my favourite people at Sears, and I'm sorry that we lost touch after the closure of our office. He was a brave man and never, ever complained about his health, even though he endured so much. He loved and missed your mum with all his heart. His eyes welled up with tears whenever he spoke of her after she passed away. I will always remember him and your mum with fondness and good memories.

I would like to express my condolences to Trevor's family. I was fortunate to have met Trevor while caring for him through home care at Centennial Retirement Home. I enjoyed our conversations and admired your father's positive outlook. Trevor was always such a lovely man, he will be missed.

Wendy, Steve, Eric and Thomas,

Ray, Ryan, Viktoria and I were saddened to hear about your loss. Whenever Eric was with us and spoke of him you could hear joy and love in his voice. He has certainly touched many people and his legacy will never be forgotten. If there is anything that we can do please let us know.
