I'm just learning of Tricia's passing. I was a client and friend for over 20 years. I moved away from Raleigh in 2023 and we touched based on occasion. She was so kind and gracious. When my dad was in the hospital at Duke, she would come do my mother's hair and was also ready to help. Her love of animals was unsurpassed, she took in many cats, tended to the birds, it didn't matter she was ready to love then all. She will be missed.

I met Tricia Sterling at the age of 15 and am heartbroken to learn that she left this earth just before her 61st birthday. We were crazy teenagers together, each other's maid of honor, late-night confidantes. Even after we both moved away from New York, she was always in my heart. I remember her visiting right after my daughter was born, and the two of us (who knew nothing about babies) marveling at every little yawn...So many memories...Her last text to me promised a long catch-up call after the holidays--one we will never have. How I wish I could have been sitting in her apartment that last night, laughing together until it was late, sharing old stories, hugging her goodnight.
Goodnight my dear friend. I will always love you.

She styled my hair for 10 years. I so enjoyed her wit and charm. We talked about everything. I miss her dearly. We she was sick I use to pick her up and take her to work. Sometime by the grocery store. She was always so positive. Always working despite her health. What an inspiration. May the lord be with her and take care of her on her journey home.
